Visiting the Church

Our church is open each day between 10:00am and 4:00pm for visitors to come and look at the beautiful medieval church in its C6th graveyard and nearby modern cemetery with its out door reflective and picnic areas. It is an ideal centre for walkers and cyclists.

There is visitor information available about the history of the whole parish, from the Bronze Age to modern times including the history of the church and the Civil War Battle of Braddock Down.

We also have information on the 147 different plants, on the fauna, including our 5 different bat species and information signs and guides made by the local school children.

There are guides and trails available, with information on digital screens and conventional signs and leaflets.

Please help yourselves to tea, coffee and biscuits in the North chapel.

Accessibility

Car parking is shown in orange above.

There is good parking with a car park by the north lych gate, and off road parking along the road beyond, a pull in at the south lych gate and additional south carpark which is opened as necessary. The paths are gravel, but there is a pneumatic tyred wheel chair which travels well available and a ramp from the porch to the church floor.
